about me
Tosin Daniel Awobokun is a Nigerian-born psalmist, worship leader, and recording artist whose sound is deeply rooted in reverence and revelation. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Tosin’s early musical influences were shaped by the soulful rhythms of Highlife, Jazz, Afrobeat, and R&B that filled his childhood home. These foundational sounds cultivated in him a profound appreciation for melody, harmony, and musical excellence.
As his faith journey deepened, so did his devotion to gospel music. He drew spiritual and artistic inspiration from renowned worship ministers such as Don Moen, Darlene Zschech, Fred Hammond, and J Moss. Their impact helped shape his understanding of worship—not merely as music, but as a divine assignment.
Tosin Daniel is not just a singer; he is a called vessel in the music ministry. His sound carries a prophetic expression—designed to stir hearts, awaken hunger for God, and lead people into transformative encounters with the Holy Spirit. With a unique blend of contemporary gospel, soul, and African influences, his ministry bridges cultures while remaining anchored in biblical truth. His passion is to raise altars of worship wherever he ministers and to see lives restored through the power of God’s presence.
A graduate of Computer Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Tosin has faithfully served in various churches and Christian fellowships across Nigeria and Ghana, contributing not only as a worship leader but also as a music director and mentor to upcoming ministers.
He served as the Music Director of the Nigerian gospel group Ararat, which released three notable singles—Ofemi and Baba Nbe Funmi (2013), and Higher (2015)—before his relocation from Nigeria.
Currently based in Canada, Tosin serves as a psalmist at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, House of Praise, Calgary, where he continues to lead worship with excellence and spiritual depth.
He is joyfully married to Oluwatobi, and together they are blessed with three wonderful children. Beyond music, Tosin is passionate about family, faith, relationships, and building a legacy of worship that honors God and impacts generations.
